It was good.
LOCATION: Right on the main strip in the quaint town of Cassville. Close walk to grocery/liquor store, bars, parks, river, and some great breakfast spots.
Felt like a home away from home! We stayed two nights in March at the upper lodge. The new owners, Belinda and Kim, were more than friendly and accommodating. The upper lodge is beautifully decorated and had everything we could have ever needed, including a full kitchen, books, movies, games, a lovely gas fireplace, and very comfortable accommodations. The rooms are within walking distance of the Cassville car ferry, downtown, the parks, docks and the local grocery. A perfect retreat, we highly recommend it.
We stayed two nights in July. There were 2 couples so we rented both units which have a door connecting them. The owners, Belinda and Kim were very helpful. Always asking what they could provide or do. A full kitchen is in the upper unit and a grill was provided. We cooked our own meals, there is a full grocery/liquor store less than a block away (very convenient). There is a deck/patio for each unit as well as a patio in the front of the building. The units were very nicely decorated/finished. Also, very clean.
Overall a great stay. Lots to do in the area and a beautiful part of the Midwest. We will go back.
Best place to stay in Cassville! The pictures I saw didn't do it justice. I stayed in the upstairs apartment 2 nights with my wife, toddler, and another couple. We cooked dinner both nights in the full kitchen and we had everything necessary. Barstool type table connected to kitchen made eating for 4 comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and relatively spacious with a walk-in shower and lovely tub. Living room had cozy furniture and plenty of room for a blow up queen mattress (also large ottoman pulls out into twin bed) with extra blankets/sheets in living room armoire. Didn't use the fireplace but imagined it would be quite wonderful for Wisconsin winter months. Bedroom had a excellent foam mattress, which I am not used to, but slept very soundly nonetheless. Bedroom had plenty of space for our toddlers pack and play with room to spare. Additional blankets/sheets and closet space in 2nd bedroom armoire.
